So, I posted about part 1 of our trip to Mississippi about a week ago. I left off on Saturday afternoon with the boys playing in the yard at Granny and Papa’s. We will now pick up right before the wedding:
Granny, Deborah, and Papa got all cleaned up and ready to go to the church to see Francis and Jimmy get married. Aren’t they pretty?!
.
So, our little family made it all of about 10 minutes during the ceremony. Thankfully, we sat in the back in anticipation of the boys not lasting very long. And it played out just like I thought it might. The boys did great until it was time to pray. Then Logan all of a sudden became obsessed with the candles and asking questions about them very loudly. So, while the entire church congregation was silent during the prayer, Logan was loudly exclaiming, “What’s that Momma?”… while pointing to all of the candles. We were able to scoop everyone up quickly and make a stealthy exit without causing too much of a scene. We stepped outside into the courtyard and decided to try to get a few family photos while we were all dressed up:
.
This series of photos might be my favorite taken of Logan ever. He looks like a little model with his hands in his pockets!
.
We left the ceremony location and headed over to the reception. We were (of course) the first ones there, so we took that opportunity to do a little dancing. Logan was in love with the lights and the bubbles!
.
As the rest of the family started to arrive, the boys got passed around to see everyone. Atticus was a little lover and snuggled on everyone– and did a little chomping on necklaces.
.
Logan got a couple of dances in with his Nana. He loved that dance floor!
.
We ended the evening dancing together as a family.
.
We left the next morning… but not without taking a few shots of the boys with their great grandparents!
We love our trips to Mississippi and hope to get back there soon!

Love this! Looks like the interruption in the ceremony turned out to be a lovely opportunity đŸ™‚ Those pictures are gorgeous.
Thank you so much Dani!
