We have been so busy with Christmas activities! I have remembered to bring my camera most of the time, so I figured I would blog all of the photos together.

But first… a few images I caught on random days. Lorelei loves Daddy snuggles: <3

And this kid giggling at something he’s reading. His reading has really taken off the last few months. More to come about all that in my semester homeschooling update blog.

Now to the festive fun! We went on a field trip with our Forest School friends to the North Pole Express in Grapevine. It was such a fun experience!

They decorated the vintage train for Christmas… it was pretty magical!

And of course we had to have matching PJs! I just need to point out that the bow in Lorelei’s hair was mine when I was a kid. I distinctly remember wearing it to our Christmas choir concert performance in elementary school. <3

We had a friend try to get a group photo. This was the best out of the group, haha.

And I just can’t with this next set of images. This kid just makes my heart feel like it’s going to explode with her cuteness.

We sang Christmas songs and listened to the Night Before Christmas story while we were riding the train.

And then we got to meet Mrs.Claus and Santa. I think they were more excited to see Mrs. Claus because she was giving out candy.

Santa needs a haircut! When he walked away, Atticus looked at me and said, “Was that the real Santa??” I told him that I didn’t know and I asked what he thought. He said, “His beard felt fake!” Ha!

That evening we decorated our Christmas tree and watched Christmas movies!

I can’t wait until I get this room decor finished. I need to plan out my gallery walls above the piano and the bookshelf, but I just haven’t had time! Anyone want to do it for me?!?!!?

So, when I booked our North Pole Express field trip, I thought the kids would have a chance to talk individually with Santa and get a photo taken. This didn’t happen since it was technically a school field trip so on our way home from Grapevine, we stopped at the mall to see Santa and get a photo. We went to the same mall as last year… and were super surprised to find out that they raised the price to $40! They are also super strict about letting parents photograph anything (I got in trouble last year for videoing, haha) so you’re paying $40 for a single shitty photo and your kid to spend about a minute with Santa. Nope. Not doing that. I got on the old google and started looking for an affordable Santa and low and behold discovered that Bass Pro Shops does FREE Santa visits and also has a crap ton of activities for the kids to play with. Score! I also discovered once we were there, that they encourage parents to take their own photos. Even bigger score!

This is our official Santa photo for this year, haha. Lorelei was not feeling it and refused to let Santa hold her. I absolutely HATE HATE HATE photos of kids screaming and crying with Santa holding them, so Pucci stepped in to hold her.

Logan told Santa that he wants Minecraft for his Playstation. Little does he know, we had a talk with Santa and told him to bring it for the Switch cause that’s what we are getting for the family this year. 🙂

And my sweet Atti-Goose (who refused to take off his PJs) asked Santa for a Marvel game.

Lorelei was still trying to figure this guy out… but she finally told him that she wants (another!) baby for Christmas.

Even Grandma got in on the Santa action! (She’s in a wheelchair because we thought it would be easier for her to get around BassPro since it’s such a big store… she’s not in one full time or anything!)

Santa asked Grandma what she wanted for Christmas and she said she wants her husband back. *sniffle* Santa said he wished he could do that for her and then asked if he could pray for her. I’m not gonna lie, I was crying behind my camera. Thanks a lot Santa… and pregnancy hormones.

The best part was all of the fun stuff they had for the kids to do when they were done visiting with Santa!
