We had a pretty low key week which means that for the most part we just hung around the house.  We had a playdate with Oliver in the middle of the week (pictures coming soon!) and went to visit Grandma on Friday, but other than that we didn’t do much.  I just bought a steam mop and spent most of my time deep cleaning the floors and checking things off my organization list.  I have a million boxes of teaching stuff in the garage and I’m in the process of going through them and slowly getting things organized again.

In the milestone department, Logan is trucking along nicely.  He said ‘dada’ this week!  He was sitting on the floor by the front door when Chris walked in from work.  He looked up at him and said ‘dada’.  It was awesome!  I was able to catch him saying it on video later in the week.  The sound quality isn’t very good, though:

That boy is going to be talking in sentences before we know it!  All week long he’s been saying ‘dada’.  It’s super cute when he gets excited to talk to Chris on FaceTime and starts saying ‘dada’ over and over again.  I love him. So much.

This week I also scored some bath toys on the local swap for super cheap.  We have all these cool cups with spouts, some boats and turtles, and a little frog cover for the faucet… and Logan’s favorite toy of all is a plastic cup from Babe’s Chicken.  You can see it in his hands in just about every picture.  At least he’s easy to please! 😉

Logan and Chris… just about the same age.  I think Chris was about 9 months in this picture.

Logan obviously gets his cute tush from his Momma… and that bald head!

After bathtime… he likes to brush his teeth.

We have been working on baby signs with Logan, too.  I started modeling signs when he was about 6 months old.  He hasn’t really started using any of them to request on his own yet, but I can tell that he understand them.  For example, if I sign ‘milk’ he knows it’s time to nurse and will often times nuzzle himself in close to my chest.  I also think he is beginning to understand the sign ‘food’.  He is a video of us working on ‘food’ during snack time.  He has a nice approximation going…

And then, we have random pictures taken throughout the week.  Enjoy!

This paci was a gift from Logan’s Aunt Amanda.  He hated it when he was younger… now he likes to carry it around and chew on it.  He looks like a hillbilly baby!

This might be one of the best pictures ever taken.  It makes me giggle!
