Holy crap, y’all. We bought a travel trailer. Talk about unexpected purchases, haha.

This story starts with me researching for our upcoming trip to Washington state. When I realized how much money it was going to cost for the 5 of us to fly, rent a house, and possibly rent a vehicle (or at least pay for shuttles/taxis), I felt like we were blowing our entire vacation budget on one trip. We have several trips planned this year, so that wasn’t going to work! We were also severely limiting the amount of time that we were going to be able to stay in Washington. So I started looking at renting an RV or a travel trailer. We were going to be able to extend our stay, but the trip was going to be almost as much as flying and renting a house–about a $1K difference. In my frustration, I started trolling Craigslist and a popular RV sales site. Low and behold this trailer was posted and was an awesome price! When I first emailed, they already had an interested party. But a couple days later, they contacted me again and said their deal had fallen through. Hooray–for us, at least!!

Our trailer is a 2016–originally purchased in October of last year and was only taken out 5 times! The previous owners were upgrading to a larger trailer. It is a 21 foot Forest River Wolf Pup Bunkhouse that sleeps 5– perfect for our family!

We have a queen sized bed that lifts up and has a ton of storage underneath.

I’ve tried really hard to make the trailer feel very homey since we will be spending several weeks in it later this summer! The dreamcatcher was a gift from Aunt Pucci and the sign was something I picked up a couple years ago. I think it fits perfectly in its new home. The Mexican blankets are my favorite–the gray and black one we got on our honeymoon in Mexico and the turquoise and gray came from our recent trip to Palo Duro. Plus, they’re dual purpose! They cover the awful hotel-esque fabric that covers the dining chair cushions… and they’re available to keep people warm, which is necessary because that AC blows SO cold!

I’m addicted to Himalayan salt lamps, so of course there’s one in the trailer!

The boys have bunkbeds in the back of the trailer. Logan is up top and Atti is down below. Next to their beds is the door to the bathroom. We have a toilet and a small tub with a shower. I am really happy there’s a tub for my bath loving kids! On the other side of the trailer is our kitchen area. Up top is a microwave, in the middle is a 2 burner propane stove, and on bottom is a fridge that runs on propane or electric. Since the fridge runs on propane, you can have it running while you are traveling. That’s an awesome feature!

And finally, the dining area. It’s not large enough for the whole family, but the kids fit here just fine. Most state and national parks have picnic tables at their campsites– and who wants to eat inside when you can have dinner with a view!?

The table folds down into another bed (and has additional storage under the seats!). This will be Lorelei’s bed once she’s no longer co-sleeping. So… maybe by the time she’s in college, haha.

That’s it–our tiny house on wheels! I can’t wait for all of the fun we’re going to have in this thing!
