It’s no secret… I love being pregnant. Sure, there are plenty of crappy things to put up with–nausea, hormones, not being able to sleep or have a drink when I need one. BUT even with all of the hassles and inconveniences of being pregnant, I still love it. I guess my favorite part is the belly. So, near the end of this pregnancy, I decided to start taking lots of belly photos. A friend did this to help her cope with going to 42 weeks, and I thought it was a great idea, especially since we were thinking we’d also get close to 42 weeks. I’ve already posted these on Facebook, but here are all of my belly photos in order… and a few extras that didn’t make the cut.

We went to the fair on the Thursday before our due date. It was our last fun family adventure before Baby Squish joined us. I was hoping that all of the walking would put me in labor, but that didn’t happen!

I even treated myself to a pedicure once I had gone over my due date… again hoping that maybe a pressure point would get rubbed and I’d go into labor. Didn’t happen.

Logan and I tried to squeeze in extra snuggles everyday. He liked to rub my belly and talk about the baby.

More snuggles… and look at that ridiculous hair!

The Friday after my due date (40+5) we had our check up at the birth center and did a NST and BPP to check on baby.

The Saturday after my due date (40+6) Lauren and I took Logan walking around the neighborhood to try to get things started. Apparently, walking the curb can help open up your pelvis, so we tried it.

To celebrate 41 weeks, Megan and Veronica took me to brunch at Hannah’s in Denton. It was amazing.

That evening, I took a bath. This is one of the last belly photos taken. <3

And last, but not least… here is a video I took the evening of 41 weeks while I was in the bath trying to relax since I’d been in prodromal labor for days. Little did I know that the real thing would start up a couple of hours later… but I have to save that part for the birth story! It looks like he is trying to bust out!
