**We are in the middle of doing some major remodeling in the house… so in the background of some images you might see some random things, like half painted walls, furniture in the middle of rooms, etc. Just FYI**

Logan started preschool today! He is going to a cooperative preschool in Denton 3 days a week for a few hours each morning and so far we LOVE it! Our teacher, Ms. Stephanie, is awesome and very passionate about play-based education. We are most definitely going to get along!! She also writes an AMAZING blog over at www.two-daloo.com with tons of awesome activities for kiddos. I’m not going to lie… I have a little bit of a Mommy crush on her. <3

We decided to document Logan getting ready for his first day of school. He (of course) decided to sleep in. We had to wake him up…

From there, he ate some breakfast that the Dada cooked for him. He loves sausage (probably more than bacon– I know, there’s no way that he’s MY kid!) and some fruit (his favorite-ist food EVER!). While he ate, we talked about how he was going to go to school and see Ms Stephanie and all of his new friends. He was getting super excited!

After breakfast, Logan got dressed. He’s been working on getting his shoes on all by himself. The biggest issue so far is getting them on the right feet.

Then he brushed his teeth. This is one self-help skill that I wish he was more apt to let me help with. He is SO independent and wants to do it all himself. Unfortunately it is often a battle to get him to give Momma a turn. I guess this is just part of being 2 and learning your independence.

Once Logan’s teeth were brushed he got his new backpack on (thanks, Nana!) and headed out the door.

And of course, our obligatory ‘First Day of School’ photo with a sign. See how excited he is?!

The whole family went to drop Logan off at school. Atticus was strapped to my back as he usually is. I’m pretty sure there are people at Logan’s school who think that he is ALWAYS on my back after seeing me up at the school so much this summer while wearing him. It’s pretty much his favorite place to be… well, I think nursing is probably is *favorite* place, but you know what I mean.

Once at school, Logan walked right in and started exploring. Ms. Stephanie did such a great job making her classroom feel warm and inviting with different experiences set up all over the room for the kiddos to explore. Have I mentioned how freaking excited I am about her!?

We were so excited that he didn’t cry when we left. He just gave us hugs and ran to join his friends. That last vertical image up there is me peeking in a window at him during circle time. He’s sitting nicely on his rug. <3

This guy got some one-on-one time with Momma (and his Julie!) until it was time to pick the Brudder up from school. I think he might have enjoyed himself.

I didn’t take my camera to pick up because we had been out running errands and I didn’t want to have to leave it in the car, but Ms. Stephanie reported that Logan had a great first day of school. He was interested in the cars, the home center area, and a large dirt pile in the backyard of the school. After a quick trip into Hobby Lobby and a million snacks, he came home and slept for 4 hours!! Can you believe it!? They must have worn him out!
