Gah! I’m so far behind on our family blog. Our little photography business has been crazy busy lately, and that combined with having 2 kiddos to care for during the day has made me fall behind in just about everything. So, this is my feeble attempt to get caught up. Let’s travel back in time to when we had a one year old… back in mid-December:
Week 9 started with a trip to the mall to pay the big guy in red a visit. I am so happy to say that Logan wasn’t scared at all. I was worried that he would get scared and start crying, but he actually liked Santa and kept trying to talk to him even after we were finished with our visit. I guess preparing him ahead of time really helped this year. We read lots of stories and watched some shows about Santa in the weeks leading up to this visit. I even found a social story type video that modeled a visit with Santa that is used for children with autism. We watched that video over and over. Atticus did great, too. He’s so laid back at this age, I wasn’t really concerned with him.
.
Before Christmas, we had a visit from Aunt Addie and Sarah. They brought some gifts for the boys (Thank you guys!!) and played for a while. We had lots of fun with them! Sarah plays really well with Logan and he loves her so much! Atticus loves getting snuggles, so he had a great time, too!
.
We went to visit our friends and take a couple of photos for them to announce the sex of their baby. We brought our boys with us… and this is what we looked like while we were trying to take the photos. I felt like a pack mule!
.
That same day, we met up with Hima who was in town visiting for the holidays. We went to have lunch with Grandma… at Babe’s!
After lunch with Grandma, we all went over to Dad and Valerie’s house to visit and work on a project for Grandma’s Christmas present. A few months ago, Grandma’s neighbor ran into her car door and dented it up. Long story short, her car didn’t look the best, but they don’t make new doors for her car anymore. So, Dad and Valerie went and found a used one. We put our handprints on it just to add a personal touch. They are going to get it repainted to match her car. 🙂
.
That evening, Hima and I stayed up after the kiddos (and the Chris) went to bed. She showed me some of her awesome yoga moves. I attempted them… but that was laughable.

Atticus is practicing his savasana pose. He’s killing it. Ha ha… get it?

And these were the last photos taken of my one year old. Right before he turned 2. Sleeping peacefully in his big boy bed. Why does time go by so quickly?? I really can’t believe that he’s already 2!
