This week was our 2nd week watching Sarah during the day. It was fairly uneventful, with the exception of Sarah’s birthday party on Thursday! Logan and I went with Addie and Sarah to Mass that morning. It was Logan’s first church service. He even got to go up and be blessed by the priest! I remember being a kid (not raised Catholic) and going to a Catholic church with my Uncle and being SO upset and not understanding why I couldn’t go up and take communion when it was that time of the service. I’m glad Logan didn’t have to feel that way! 🙂
After church we took Sarah to camp at Whole Foods. They have been doing a weekly camp for kiddos her age. She made a craft and I ate some bacon. It was early and they still had their breakfast foods out… and everyone knows that I can’t pass up an opportunity for bacon.
That afternoon, we went with Sarah to a kids place that has games, mini-golf, go-carts, etc. I cannot remember the name of it and am too lazy in this moment to look it up. Anyway, it was fun. Logan and I followed Addie and Sarah around and took pictures:
.
Bumper boats. She thoroughly enjoyed squirting the other kids with the giant squirt gun!
She got into a squirting match with some boy. You can’t really tell in this picture, but she was pretty soaked.
Watching in the shade. It was so hot!
A mother-daughter air hockey game. It was pretty intense.
SO intense!
.
Logan was pretty content just riding around in the ringsling and looking at all of the flashing lights around him.
.
We played Wheel of Fortune.
.
We won the jackpot.
.
This picture reminds me of Home Alone.
.
After we played we met Chris and Lauren for dinner. I didn’t take any pictures because I was too busy trying to keep Logan happy. It was a very long day for him.

Other than that, we took it easy the rest of the week. We went swimming a couple of times, and did some craft type things at the house. On Friday (since we were SO worn out from Thursday) we had a movie and popcorn day. I’ve been introducing Sarah to all of the movies that I loved when I was her age. So far we’ve watched ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’, Little Monsters, Princess Bride, and The Never Ending Story. Luckily, she has loved them all… or at least she is smart enough to lie to me and tell me she likes them, even if she doesn’t. 🙂
