Logan turned 6 months old this week! He is now getting up on all 4s and rocking back and forth. He’s also gotten pretty good about army crawling, or dragging himself everywhere. Hopefully he will soon learn to actually crawl. Or maybe he’ll just skip normal crawling and go straight to walking. Oh jeez… I hope I didn’t just jinx myself. Logan has also mastered being able to go from laying on his tummy to sitting up and vice versa. And last but certainly not least, we walked in to his room after naptime to find him doing this:

Yep. Our TinyFat guy is now pulling himself up. Why, oh why is he growing up SO dadgum fast?! I can’t handle it.

This week we also made the decision to go to Mississippi to visit Chris’s family. Nana and Pop Pop were already planning on going for the 4th of July, so we just tagged along. If cloth diapers are of any interest to you, you can read here about my minor freak concerning what to put on Logan’s butt while we were out of town. Luckily, I figured it all out, and you can read about that here. Since it was a very last minute decision to go out of town, I spent most of the week trying to get things ready and not a lot of time taking pictures. I did snap a couple, though:

I joined a local support group for new Mommas who pretty much all parent similarly to the way Chris and I have chosen to raise Logan. One of them was cleaning out her daughter’s playroom and posted a bunch of stuff for sale on our facebook group. We are now the proud new owners of a pop up tube and a foam alphabet mat that will be used when we rip up the carpet and lay the wood–if Gramps and Gram ever come back from being out of town! 🙂 We got both of those, plus a bag of random stuff (a vTech ball, some rings, books, etc) all for $13!! Some of those mats go for close to $40 brand new, so we got one heck of a deal!! Logan loves the tube and immediately crawled through it.

.Last, and probably the least favorite thing of the week is this guy:
That fat ass is a Tomato Hornworm Caterpillar and he was bigger than Chris’s biggest finger. He just about devoured all of the leaves on part of our tomato plant. We found him while we were watering the garden the night before we were to leave for Mississippi and decided that we needed to do a photoshoot. So, in true procrastinators style, instead of packing and getting ready to leave, we set up a mock bug studio complete with our studio lighting and a mini back drop for this fat caterpillar. We got some cool shots, but I’m waiting to post them all in a single post together. Consider that photo the sneak peek. At the rate I’m going, it will be December before I get the rest of the photos posted. 🙂
