Week 15 is over. It was a doozy. We had fun, but it’s also the week that I went back to work… so it was super sad and I was completely full of anxiety. So much so that my forehead broke out and I look like a 13 year old boy. It’s really bad. And it was such perfect timing. I went to bed on Sunday night with my skin looking just fine, and woke up Monday morning with zits EVERYWHERE! “Hi coworkers and students I haven’t seen in months! Look at my zits. Aren’t they beautiful?” Blarg! I even had one of my students ask me what happened to my forehead. Thanks, kid. You’re lucky I like you!
.
We also had weather straight out of the movie Twister. Think about how much fun that was for this Momma who is already a little bit terrified by stormy weather. My second day back at work from maternity leave and we have to do a duck and cover drill. I’m trying to make sure that my students with autism are okay, and text my sister to make sure she aware of what is going on and has a plan for if the stuff hits the fan! Luckily I work with amazing people who were all completely understanding of my freak out.
.
The important thing is that the week is over. And now we only have 8 more weeks until summer break. I can do this…

I was worried that I wasn’t going to get many pictures for this week since I am not with him all day (*tear*), but I managed to get quite a few. Several of them were from last weekend. We had to make a trip to the Nappy Shoppe to get a gift for a friend’s baby shower. Since we were in Plano, we stopped by Hima’s parents house for a visit. I had been promising Hima that I would go visit, but we had not gotten around to it yet. It was great to see Mom and Dad!

Logan loves his Indian Nana.

So sweet!

Logan also got to meet Charlie. Charles lived with us while I was pregnant.

Hanging out with Charlie.

That evening we went to hang out with our friends Aaron and Ashley. Uncle Derek was there, too. TinyFat likes to hang out and watch TV with the boys!
.
.
On Saturday we had to go to a baby shower for a friend I used to work with. Unfortunately, TinyFat did not have a very good morning. He was very sad. It was either the WingStop I had the night before, or the teeth that he decided to sprout this week. I was worried that we weren’t going to make it to the shower, but he finally calmed down enough to make the drive to South Lake.

.
My friends Katie and Ben were at this shower and they brought their Logan along. The Logans met when our Logan was about a week old. We need to hang out with them more! Here’s a picture of the sweet boys. They were due 2 days a part. Their Logan came 2 weeks early, and our stubborn guy stayed in a week and 2 days late.

We spent Sunday snuggling and working in the yard while TinyFat napped. I didn’t take any pictures. 🙁

This picture is after my first day back at work. He sat in the kitchen with me while I cooked dinner. He was very happy to see his Momma!

After he got tired of the bouncy seat, I put him in the exersaucer. We have tried it a couple of times, but he had never been big enough for it. I think he’s just about big enough to enjoy it. Check out the video. He goes to town on those toys!

My sister took a picture every single day while I was at work. She would text them to me so I could see his little face. It helped me get through the week!

And last, but not least, I took an extra long, extra boring video this morning. Seriously… nothing too exciting happens. But it’s my blog and I want to post it so I can look back on it when he’s 25 and make fun of him for chewing on my finger. 🙂
