We have a 12 week old baby!! I was told last night that he no longer looks like a newborn and that he looks like an infant. Next thing you know, I’m going to get told that he doesn’t look like a baby anymore and he looks like a 40 year old man with a 5 o’clock shadow. Jeez… this growing up stuff goes by so quickly!

I don’t want to jinx myself, but I think that TinyFat has finally learned how to sleep through the night. Today marks the 3rd day in a row that he has slept for a 6.5 hour stretch or more. Last night was 7.5 for those who are tracking it as closely as I am. Which is no one. 🙂 Even though he’s doing great sleeping in his own crib, we will continue to have Sunday morning snuggle time. It’s the best…

Now that it seems that Logan has his sleeping at night under control, we are going to start working on naps. Right now, his naps range from 30 to 45 minutes, but he takes 4 or 5 of them a day. My sister was at our house the other day and took this picture of me with Mr. Logan.

Before everyone goes and gets all concerned, NO I’m not asleep. He was REALLY fussy and needed to go down for a nap. We had tried everything else to get him to go down. He just wanted his Momma. And that crib is made of real wood and is not some cheap particle board piece of furniture from Ikea. And I don’t do it that often. This was maybe the 3rd time I had gotten in the crib with him. Okay, done.

We also had a couple of visits from our Aunt Nini (Lauren). She came over and watched Logan for me while I tended to some yard work. In this first picture, he fell asleep while they were sitting outside enjoying the beautiful weather (and keeping me company while I pulled weeds).

A close up of that picture shows that Logan is passed out!!

Alien baby looks stylish in his shades!

We had lots of playtime this week. I spent the week converting the front room into a playroom. Right now it just has all of his toys in it, but over the summer, we are going to put in french doors (it’s a dining room that has a huge opening) and I plan on painting and ripping up the carpet and laying wood flooring. Plus, I have a million playroom ideas pinned on my Pinterest. Have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE Pinterest?! Anyway, at least all of his toys are confined to one area now and I don’t feel like they are taking over the house! Here are some pictures from our playtimes this week:

Working on our tummy time and checking out a book. He loves the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom song!
.
.
Working on sitting up in the Bumbo seat. He’s still a little young to sit in it unassisted, hence the boppy pillow in the back for extra support, but he likes being able to look around so we do it a few minutes each day.
.
.
He’s still fascinated by his hands. He has been grabbing at everything and trying to put what ever he grabs a hold of in his mouth. In this picture, he grabbed his own hand and decided to taste it.
.
.
He’s also turned into quite the little finger sucker. I try to only use the paci during nap/bed times or when he’s really fussy and we aren’t in a place where it’s okay to have a crying baby… like the CPA’s office, or our friends house. Since we don’t have the paci out all the time, he has resorted to sucking on his fingers.
.
.
We have also been working on strengthening our core muscles so we can sit up. Not a very good picture, but it’s hard to snap a picture when you are trying to hold up a baby!

I have a few other milestones that he’s reached caught on video. I plan on posting all the video from this week tomorrow or Monday. We have a busy day ahead, so I don’t have time right now. Momma’s got to make a trip to her favorite cloth diaper store. 🙂
