We had a fun Halloween this year! The kids were enrolled in Fall Co-Op and got to wear their costumes to ‘school’ one day. Lorelei was not a fan of her costume and I knew she wouldn’t wear it all day, so we opted for a Halloween shirt.

The day before Halloween our homeschool group put on a Trunk or Treat. This was our first time participating and it was super fun! Some of the parents went all out and had fun carnival type games. We weren’t that fancy, unfortunately. I just brought some candy and passed it out as I walked around. Maybe we can do fun things like that when the kids are older and can help prep everything–cause this Momma sure as shit didn’t have time to do all that with these little ones!

My friend Sarah made this amazing Frankenstein. The kids had to reach into his nose and through some goopy slime to get the candy. Of course Atticus loved it, haha.

On actual Halloween our neighborhood did a hayride for the kids again. This year, we started a bit earlier so I was able to get a few shots of the kiddos on the trailer. This is my favorite Halloween tradition!

Our super hero boys with their super hero friends from the neighborhood!

Like most things in Lorelei’s life, her costume was a hand-me-down from her brothers. But this one was super special– this costume was a gift from Aunt Julie and Aunt Hima after Atticus was born and I made a mom fail and forgot to get Logan a costume. Logan wore it when he was almost 2, Atticus wore it 2 years later, and now it was Lorelei’s turn. <3

Here’s the setup. It’s so awesome that our neighbors do this!

The hayride lasts a couple of hours. Atticus spent the entire time eating candy. Pretty sure he was on the verge of diabeetus by the time the night was over. This photo doesn’t even do it any justice. His face was sticky from his eyeballs down. So, so gross.

The kids with their haul… looks  like we will have candy to last us until next Halloween!
