Chris’ day off during the week this week fell the day after our due date with Baby Cuatro. We decided that if I was still pregnant and didn’t have any signs of going into labor, we would take the kids to the zoo for a last family date day before the baby got here. We wanted to be able to spend some quality time with the bigs before having a newborn in the house again. Plus, maybe we could walk that baby out!
Since it was a Thursday during the school year, it wasn’t very crowded at all. And being 40 weeks pregnant, we just had to make sure I was stopping often to drink water because it was hot. My favorite part of the day was feeding the giraffes. I love that new section of the zoo. On the way home, we stopped at Anamia’s and got some guacamole. It’s the kids’ new favorite food– especially Atticus! They were begging the waiter to bring the cart over and make them some more. I love that we have rediscovered that restaurant that we used to love so much. It’s now a family favorite… which is perfect timing because they are building one down the street from us!
