TinyFatBaby is 5 months old! He’s such a big boy.

He spent all day Saturday with his Nana and Pop Pop while the Momma and the Daddy went on a garage saling adventure. While we were out and about, we picked up a vintage sewing table that I got for free off of Craig’s List. It’s in need of some TLC, but it’s going to be awesome once we get finished with it. Chris and I scored some antique books that were sitting out with a giant free sign on them at one of the neighborhood garage sales. They are all about 100 years old. I love old books… they make great decoration. We also picked up some more mason jars, a couple of practically new outfits and a little basketball game for our TF guy. Since we were in the area picking up that sewing table, went to the flea market in Grand Prairie and got some plants for our backyard. They are so much cheaper at the flea market than they are at the store. We were having an issue with our veggies not getting pollinated so we added some more flowers to the yard to attract butterflies and bees. (Since I’m so behind on posts and this all happened several weeks ago, I can tell you that adding the flowers to the backyard has tremendously helped our garden and we will be swimming in tomatoes and cucumbers very soon!)

A milestone that we are working on this week is the dreaded separation anxiety. Luckily, he is almost always asleep in the mornings when I leave for work, so I’m not having to deal with it then, but in the evenings when I get home, he gets pretty upset when I leave the room. Even if someone else is holding and playing with him. The other night it happened and it dawned on me what was actually happening. Chris and I were sitting with him on the couch after dinner talking to him and playing. I got up from the couch to go in the kitchen to get my mess from cooking cleaned up, and he lost it. Chris was still with him, still playing and talking to him, but he wanted his Momma. I came back into his sight and he immediately stopped crying and started laughing and cooing. I walked out of sight again and he lost it. Talk about a clingy baby. I guess he’s working on developing his object permanence. There goes my child development talking again.

Second to last week of school. We were super busy and not many pictures were taken. We did get these, though:
Our big guy sitting in the shopping cart at Costco. We normally use the ringsling while we are out shopping, but we got to the store and I realized I left it at home. Luckily, I had the shopping cart cover in the back of the car because we had used it at a restaurant last weekend. He did such a good job!

Stinky baby getting a bath. He loves bath time. I can’t wait until we start our swim classes this summer. He’s going to have so much fun!
