This post is very late in coming. The last couple of weeks of school completely wore us out and I didn’t really even have time to sleep, much less write in our blog. I feel bad that I wasn’t able to keep up, but now it’s over and I will have more time to dedicate to the old blog.
.
I’m trying to figure out the easiest way to update everything, and I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I am going to touch briefly on the major accomplishments and activities for each week, and then have separate blogs for the big events that took place. We have done so many different things over the past few weeks that deserve so much more attention than just a few lines in the weekly blog. So, I will briefly touch on it here, and then in the next couple of days, work on getting an entry for Logan’s first road trip, Mother’s day, my birthday, and his first pool day.
.
So, without further ado….

This was a big week for Mr. Logan. He took his first out of state trip, celebrated his first Mother’s Day, ate his first solid foods, and officially reached 2 milestones!
First, our Aunt Pucci graduated from college! We had to travel to Arkansas to go to her graduation. I took 600 pictures during that trip, so Lauren’s graduation will be a post of it’s own hopefully coming along soon after this is posted. I did take a quick little video of TinyFat in the car. It took us FOREVER to get to my Dad’s house that day because of traffic. In this video, we were sitting at a red light (which is why I was able to take it) and TF had been making some very interesting noises. As usual, he stopped right about time I hit record, but I wanted to share it anyway. Whoever invented the mirror that attaches to the back of the seat so you can see your baby from the driver’s seat is an absolute genius. I love being able to drive and keep an eye on him at the same time.

We made a pit stop to visit Grandma on our way out. I took a short video and nothing too interesting happens, but it’s my blog and I’ll post what I want!

It was a short trip. We left Friday afternoon and came back Saturday afternoon. That Sunday was Mother’s Day. Again, that day deserves it’s own post. We took 750 pictures. Needless to say, my computer is chugging a little slower lately thanks to all of the pictures that have been added to it! I think one of my biggest concerns pre-baby was not taking enough pictures… and I can officially say that is no longer a concern. Since my iPhone camera is STILL broken, our dSLR sits on the counter, always charged, always ready to snap a picture. It’s probably better that my iPhone camera is broken… it’s forcing me to use the better camera.
.
This week we also officially met 2 milestones. And I say officially because he’s been working on these skills for a while, but he’s just now gotten to the point where he is doing them consistently. And officially because it’s this week that I marked them on his milestone calendar that our sweet Aunt Amy got us. He is now able to sit up independently without being propped up and without throwing himself backwards. I still keep the boppy pillow behind him if i’m not sitting with him, in case he does fall backwards, but other than that, he’s got it down. He also discovered the art of toe sucking. He found his feet a couple of weeks ago, but now he’s able to stick them in his mouth and give them a little nibble. I don’t blame him… I like to nibble on those little toes, too!
.
Logan also had his first taste of solid food this week. We aren’t officially starting solids yet, but he was getting a little unruly at the table during our Mother’s Day lunch with Nana and Pop Pop. He’s been reaching for our food and showing an interest in watching us eat, so I decided that he could have his first little taste. I’ll write more and include the pictures and video on the Mother’s Day blog.
.
And we will end this blog with another little video that we took this week. Logan loves to watch himself, whether is be in the mirror, or through the video camera on my phone…
