Well, we had a hectic week! It was STAAR testing week for Momma so the whole house was pretty chaotic. The STAAR test is the new standardized test from the state of Texas… it’s replacing the TAKS test. I had to be at work earlier than normal, so it completely threw me off my schedule. Luckily, I have the best husband in the world and he got up extra early each morning to help me get my stuff together and make sure TinyFat’s things were ready for the day. Needless to say, I was a zombie by the end of the week!
.
On top of all the stuff going on with me at work, TinyFat is having lots of fun staying home with his Aunt Pucci. His 4 month birthday was Monday and he even hit 2 milestones this week. I’m not sure if they are official milestones, but regardless, I’m excited! He has started blowing raspberries and he is also grabbing his feet when he lays on his back. I posted a video of him watching Lauren blow raspberries at him earlier in the week. You can tell he was trying really hard to figure out how to do it himself. I think in the video he actually does it a couple of times, but since that video was taken, he hasn’t stopped blowing them. All day long we hear, “TTTTHPBT” and then a string of drool and bubbles ooze down his chin. The other day, he had quite the collection of TTTTHPBT bubbles on his chin. So much so that it almost looked like he was working on growing a little bubble beard. He has also started grabbing his feet this week. I noticed it on Thursday, but Chris thinks he has done it a few times before. I’ve marked Thursday as the official day in the calendar since that was the first time I noticed it. I’m still waiting for him to start sucking on his toes, but he hasn’t put his feet in his mouth yet. I guess maybe that comes later. Here are a couple of pictures that I took during playtime. I was attempting to get some action shots of him rolling over, but he decided that he didn’t want to roll over while I had the camera out. Little stinker!

Last weekend we had a lot of fun. Logan and I participated in the Great Cloth Diaper Change in Ft. Worth. The GCDC was an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for most cloth diapers changed at one time. There were over 300 locations in 16 countries around the world participating. Last I checked, the results were not in yet. Last year (the first year of the GCDC) there were 5, 026 diapers changed at 127 locations in 5 different countries. My guess is that we did break the record, but we have to wait until it is official. Now, many people have asked why we participated in this event. I mean, it does seem a bit silly…a bunch of people lined up in a church rec room changing diapers at the same exact time. But, it was a way for us to celebrate Earth Day while spreading awareness of cloth diapering. So many people automatically assume that cloth diapers= giant safety pins and rubber pants. Luckily, that’s not the case anymore! Plus at the event, there were booths set up by many of the local stores and vendors, a silent auction, and door prizes. I didn’t win anything, of course, but I did buy a couple of things (duh!).

This is the onesie that I got for Logan. He’s my little hippie baby!
.
One of the vendors had their GroVia covers on sale. I almost have all of the different prints… I don’t have the owl one, though. Hint hint!!
.
I have been wanting one of these for a while. Apparently one of these fitteds plus a wool cover is the holy grail of nighttime diapering. We haven’t tried it at night, yet. It’s really soft and I can tell that it’s going to be super absorbent.
.
There were a couple of photographers are the event. I took these pictures from their Facebooks. There aren’t any good pictures of me, but I took the liberty of drawing an arrow to us so you don’t have to play “Where’s Waldo?” Chris was supposed to go with us to help with things like taking pictures, but he got called in to work.

Here are a few pictures that I took. They aren’t very good. I need to get better about juggling baby, diaper bag, purse, and camera when I’m out and about by myself!

Chris and I also took Spencer’s senior portraits last weekend. I am going to post them on the blog… when I find some time. Actually, I’m hoping to get them posted today or tomorrow. I am trying really hard to not fall too behind on the blog. I have been really proud of myself for keeping up with it so far. It’s neat to look back and read about what we were doing a couple of months ago when TinyFat was just a TinyBaby. 🙂
