Christmas 2016 was a Pukefest. It started with Logan–who got so sick we had to take him to urgent care for fluids and meds to stop the vomiting– and moved its way through all of the kids. Lorelei was the least affected, thank goodness. Being such a tiny baby, I was worried about her, but I guess the fact that she’s still nursing helped a lot. Atticus won the worst patient award for being so stubborn and refusing to do anything I needed him to do– like drink water. Or take meds to stop the puking. He is SOOOO 3!
We tried to keep the holiday as normal as we could, despite all the illness. We weren’t able to follow every tradition, though. No one wants to eat cookies made by sick kids! We did open our Christmas Eve gifts…
My sweet baby looks so incredibly sick in this photo.
And then there is Sister Bear who is just as sick, but smiling. Cause she’s ALWAYS smiling. Except for when she has RBF, like her Momma, haha!
The kids each received a new pair of PJs and a book– that’s our xmas eve tradition. Logan was really, really excited about receiving the illustrated version of Harry Potter. We just started reading HP a couple months ago. I think the illustrated version will be more fun for him to read.
I don’t know who was more excited about this book– Atticus or Daddy. These two love super heroes so much!
The boys dictated their letter to Santa and Logan signed his name.
I woke up in the middle of the night and Santa had already been to our house! I snapped a photo before the kids woke up!
They might have been sick, but that didn’t stop them from waking up early.
Gramps and Gram felt bad that we weren’t able to come visit them on Christmas, so they drove out to our house to bring us some food and a few gifts for the kids. We opened presents and visited out on the patio because we were hoping that it was less contaminated than the rest of the house. We didn’t want to give them our sickness!
My baby is so adorable.
