We weren’t too sure what to expect for our first Halloween in the new house. We had thought about going to another more populated neighborhood… or even going downtown to their Halloween event, but (luckily) we decided to stay home and at least try out or neighborhood before leaving and going elsewhere. We were in the front yard taking photos of the kids when a hay ride pulled up and a gaggle of kids jumped off and came up to us to get candy. One of the parents on the trailer got off and invited us to join them! We didn’t get any photos of the kids on the hayride–or any of them trick or treating. It was so dark and we didn’t have a flash with us. But we had so much fun. What a great introduction to the neighbors!
