So, Logan had his first hair cut when he was 17 months old. (Did you click on that link and check out that chunky baby when he was 17 months old?! Cause you should! LOOK AT HOW SMALL HE WAS!!!) He didn’t need much trimmed off so we did it ourselves. Then, when he was a bit older and had more hair, we took him to a place like SuperCuts to get a real haircut. That was the most traumatic experience for us both. The woman didn’t listen to either of us and he screamed and cried through the whole thing… and we left with a rather unfortunate looking haircut. Since that awful experience, we had just stuck to trimming it at home. But lately it had gotten to the point of being too much for me to handle, so I started talking to friends about places that I might be able to take him. Our good pal Amy suggested Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids so I (reluctantly) made an appt.
He’s our guy showing off his long flowing locks of golden hairs before his appointment. He was actually excited to go. We went through Sharkey’s website together and he told me that he wanted to drive one of their cars! Also, can I just say that I love his sweet little hammy face. He cracks me up!
.
Then we got to Sharkey’s. Logan was still acting excited to go get his hair cut. We walk in the door and he marches up to the appointment desk and says, “Hey, ladies!” I didn’t know he was such a little charmer, lol. His stylist came up to meet us and let Logan pick his car. He chose the police car. 🙂
.
Little Brudder hung out on my back during the hair cut. The grabby little guy kept picking things up if I would get him too close to the countertops. At one point I looked back at him and he was chewing on a hair bow that he plucked off the wall!
.
Logan did a fantastic job! There were ZERO tears, you guys! He sat there and watched the show they had playing and drove the car. The stylist was super sweet and patient with him. She took her time and talked to him about what she was going to do. Then at the end, they gave him a lollipop and a balloon. I think I might be in love with this place!
When we got home, I told Logan to go look in the mirror at his new haircut. I think it took him by surprise– he looks a little shocked in the first picture! (please excuse the filthy mirror– that’s Atti’s mirror in his play area and he likes to make out with himself!)
.
Max was not impressed with the haircut. And neither was Atticus. They both have a serious case of old man face.
.
I totally want to take Marshall there to get his hair cut.
You should! If Logan sat through a haircut, M totally would too!
Chose the Police Car? Can’t imagine why???? 😉
