We had a great Father’s day this year! Logan and Momma made breakfast for the Dada and gave him his presents in the morning. We then headed to a local lake for a Father’s Day lunch picnic with my Dad and Valerie. It was hot (especially being pregnant!) but it was so much fun. It was Logan’s first fishing trip ever and he was pretty intrigued with the whole thing, especially the minnows. We tried to play at the park for a bit, but there was absolutely no shade and the play structure was scorched.
Logan was pretty obsessed with the water and kept trying to walk off the bank into the lake. He doesn’t quite understand water safety yet. His Gram held him so he could put his feet in the water to cool off.

Logan went exploring with Gramps. He found a feather and wore it in his hair. (And the whole time I was thinking “Great, now he’s going to have duck lice.”) He had fun peeking in the windows of the old boat house and ripping down the spider webs. (*shudder*)

This is probably my favorite image from the day. My little chunky monkey is hot and tired!
.
Logan got to investigate a minnow for the first time. He mostly poked at it with his finger and pointed out its eyes. I don’t think he was too sure what to think about it.

After we went home, showered and napped, we met with Chris’s parents for a dinner of delicious Mexican food. (Can you tell what my favorite food is?)
After dinner, we went back to their house. Chris and his dad left to go to the movies for a Father/Son date and Logan and I stayed at the house to hang out with the girls.
It was a great Father’s Day! Just think, next year Chris will be a Daddy x 2!!
