This week we drove to North Carolina for Aunt Julie’s wedding. I’m not gonna lie… I was absolutely  dreading this trip. I was super excited to see my Precious Jules, but the thought of driving across the country with an almost 9 month old made me feel physically ill. Well, someone completely surprised me!

We planned the trip so that we left super early in the morning so Logue slept for most of the way to Mississippi, where we stopped to have lunch with Granny and Papaw. After Logan got his fill of meatballs and mashed potatoes and we spent a couple of hours with them, we got back on the road. We made it to Spartanburg, South Carolina and decided to get a hotel. We were only a few hours away from Julie, but at this point it was 10 pm and we were all wiped. We had hit some unexpected traffic in Alabama so it threw us off our schedule.

This video was taken in the hotel room as we were trying to get to sleep. Logan was not cooperating. Most likely because his routine was off and he slept a lot in the car through out the day.

Luckily, he nursed and fell asleep shortly after we made that video. In the morning we resumed our trek and  headed to Raleigh. Along the way I stopped and picked up some Jack in the Box tacos for Julie. The nearest JitB to her is about 3 hours away so she doesn’t get to eat there often. Apparently, even though they were cold by the time we got there, it was still a treat for her.

The wedding was Saturday and we spent the days before prepping things and getting the last minute details ironed out. Here are a few photos of Logan from the big day!

Also at the reception, being a goof ball.

I don’t remember how or why it happened, but here is Julie pretending to be white trash. I think she looks scared.

The day after the wedding, Logan turned 9 months old. We left that day and headed towards Mississippi where we spent the night. Here is a video of Logan on the way home. He had fun watching Yo Gabba Gabba on my iPad and singing along to the music.

We are so thankful that we were able to make it to Julie and Devon’s wedding and even more thankful that our TinyGuy was a trooper and turned out to be a great road tripper.
